In early 1980, make-up artist John Chambers and CIA agent Tony Mendez collaborated on a fake Hollywood production that was used as a cover to extract Americans trapped in Iran following the 1979 seizure of the U.S. embassy. You can now see artifacts from the faux film, Argo, at Spy: The Secret World of Espionage at Discovery Times Square in New York City.

Wojciech Inglot, the chemist and businessman who created the global cosmetics brand Inglot, died suddenly on Saturday, Feb. 23 in Przemyśl, Poland. He was 58 years old.
Lisa Westcott and Julie Dartnell have won the 2013 Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling Oscar for their work on Les Miserables. It was the first Oscar win for both.
Stuart Freeborn, whose pioneering work on 2001: A Space Odyssey and the early Star Wars films earned him a place in make-up history, has died at the age of 98.
