Make-Up Artist magazine’s beauty Web site, Makeup411.com, is looking especially good these days, thanks to a major makeover from Toronto-based Web designer Mike Hammond, who has done Web work for Kett Cosmetics and the Canadian Make-up Show. In the re-launched site, the Beauty Breakdown—which reveals the products professional make-up artists used to create various celebrity looks—has been updated and expanded with new breakdowns from recent films and events. The site also feature several new attractions, including reader polls on favorite products, tools and looks; a virtual make-up bag, in which users can add items they’re interested in, a searchable database and an enhanced Best of the Best feature, which provides a running tally of the bestselling, most-used cosmetics. Users have the opportunity to rate products, comment on Beauty Breakdowns and win free products.
“We’ve rededicated ourselves to covering every celebrity in every movie, television show, music video and event,” said Make-Up Artist magazine publisher Michael Key. “And we’ve created a user interface that’s modern and slick, making it easier for women to find the information they need.” To see more, visit www.makeup411.com.
