Step into Exhibit Hall Two, the new IMATS Los Angeles space devoted exclusively to make-up effects, where you’ll find:
- A Universal Studios Hollywood movie set, lit by a gaffer
- The all-new Make-Up Artist magazine booth—at 20 x 50 feet, it’s twice the size of the original and packed with make-up books and magazines, DVDs and apparel
- Make-up industry veterans including Barry Koper (Alien: Resurrection, Star Trek: Enterprise) doing live demos in the Make-Up Artist magazine booth
- A spectacular display of movie and TV creations in the Make-up Museum, including sculptures, molds, maquettes, drawings, creature suits and more, created by world-class artists including Rick Baker, KNB EFX Group, Spectral Motion and master sculptor Mike Hill
- Demos, products, tools and tips from industry leaders, including Nigel’s Beauty Emporium, Jordu Schell, Reynolds Advanced Materials, Stan Winston School of Character Arts, Cinema Makeup School, Burman Industries, ADM Tronics and many more
- Book signings by Kabuki and Rae Morris, and a DVD signing by Michael Mosher, in the Make-Up Artist booth
- The Battle of the Brushes, the student make-up competition. Watch as make-up students from around the world race to create winning looks. The 2012 beauty category has a Wild Kingdom theme; the character category is themed Men in Black Aliens.
