In this first photo from director Steven Spielberg's movie Lincoln, Daniel Day Lewis appears as President Abraham Lincoln. According to a Walt Disney press release, Lincoln focuses on the last four months of the president's life and the political strategizing he undertook at the close of the Civil War to ensure that slavery would be forever outlawed. The film is set to release Nov. 16, 2012.

From a make-up perspective, the first major character to appear in Hellboy 2 is a younger version of the hero, seen in a 1955 prologue with Professor Broom (John Hurt). The Young Hellboy character was created by the Barcelona-based company DDT Efectos Especiales and played in a gender-bending twist by the company’s Montse Ribé.
