Under the guidance of Stan Edmonds, a respected industry makeup artist, the Vancouver Film School’s one-year Makeup Design for Film & Television program is truly unparalleled in its approach to the art of beauty and character in storytelling.
In VFS’s state-of-the-art facilities, the Makeup Design program offers courses in corrective makeup, glamour, and fashion, alongside 20th-century period makeup, sculpting, and the construction, application, and painting of latex, gelatin, and foam prosthetics. Students also learn mask construction, hairstyling, and wigs—including the construction and dressing of hand-tied wigs, moustaches, and beards.
