Make-Up Artist magazine reaches Oscar and Emmy award-winning make-up artists and industry leaders. Subscribers include make-up artists and enthusiasts in nearly 70 countries. Make-Up Artist targets make-up professionals and decision makers who set industry trends.
Make-Up Artist is the only international publication for the professional
make-up artist which covers all aspects of the trade including film, television, theater and print. Each issue includes techniques, product reviews, industry news, artist profiles and features on upcoming make-up related films.
Make-Up Artist is a bi-monthly publication founded in 1996 by two-time Emmy Award-winning make-up artist Michael Key. In February 2000, Make-Up Artist magazine launched a popular beauty website, makeup411.com–a website that served the industry well for 16 years, producing nearly 500 Beauty Breakdowns, directly from the make-up artists that created the looks. The website was retired, however, in 2017. Beauty Breakdowns continue in Make-Up Artist magazine.
Make-Up Artist magazine produces the International Make-Up Artist Trade Show (IMATS), with six make-up industry shows a year: Los Angeles; New York; London; Toronto; Vancouver, British Columbia; and Atlanta. Visit IMATS.net for more details.
