For its annual tradition of celebrating Oscar nominees, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences invites the public to attend the Oscar Week: Makeup and Hairstyling Symposium—3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Hosted by Makeup Artist and Hairstylist Branch Governors Kathryn Blondell, Lois Burwell and Leonard Engelman, the free event will feature this year’s nominees for Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling (schedules permitting). Each group will discuss their creative processes and present film clips, photographs and displays of their work. Audiences may also ask questions.

Love Larson and Eva von Bahr, make-up designers and special make-up effects
Star Trek Beyond
Joel Harlow, special effects artist
Richard Alonzo, make-up effects artist
Alessandro Bertolazzi, make-up and hairstyling designer
Giorgio Gregorini, wig supervisor
Christopher Nelson, Killer Croc supervisor
