Heidi Klum dressed as Jessica Rabbit attends her 16th-annual Halloween party

With her elaborate costumes over the years, Heidi Klum has been dubbed the “Queen of Halloween.” This year she built up the anticipation with teasers on her Instagram account weeks in advance. Mike Marino of Prosthetic Renaissance gave Make-Up Artist magazine a few details on her infamous transformation into the iconic Jessica Rabbit.

[About eight months ago] Heidi had the idea to be Jessica Rabbit, so we talked about doing a design where it was still somewhat sexy, not too cartoony, but not too real. I think we came up with a good middle ground.

We lifecasted Heidi a couple of months ago, [a] full torso body cast. And an open eye headcast.

I sculpted the make-up along with Mike Fontaine. Nikki Fontaine styled the wig along with doing Heidi’s beauty look, which she also made lashes for. We did the make-up together. [It took] almost 10 hours including gluing on Christian Siriano’s dress.

Prosthetics used:
Forehead and cheeks
Middle of nose
Nose tip
Upper lip
Lower lip and partial chin
Small ears and sides of jaw extending her jaw farther back
Wig (made by Sylvia Nava)
Eyebrows (by Diana Choi)
White straight teeth to push lips out farther (made by Art Sakamoto)

Roland Blancaflor ran the breasts and butt in foam, but we wound up just using the foam butt and making silicone breasts with a foam inner core.

The eyelids were tricky because they were sculpted much higher than her own eyelids, covering her brow bone. They were slightly cored from the inside.

Heidi is the best model; [she] stands there and will cooperate with whatever you need. And her performance of the song from Roger Rabbit was stellar. She’s a dream to work with because she plays the part perfectly!
