Aspiring make-up artists from 13 countries have a shot at a €100,000 prize and the title of 2015 L’Oréal Paris Makeup Designer in a contest L’Oréal Paris is conducting exclusively on YouTube. Finalists will travel to Paris for a last round of competition, which will be broadcast on YouTube May 1. Registration for The Brush Contest opened Jan. 19 and closes Feb. 15.

The competition is open to all artists over the age of 18. Applicants must submit a three-minute video tutorial—which can be new, original content or reposted from an existing YouTube channel—showcasing their make-up skills and creativity. On Feb. 16, the brand will open a digital voting period, allowing fans to choose a national winner from each participating country.

The judging panel for the U.S. competition will include L’Oréal Paris celebrity make-up artist Claudia Betancur, global nail artist Tom Bachik and Senior Vice President of L’Oréal Paris Marketing Malena Higuera, among others.

National winners will be flown to Paris for a beauty boot camp with the brand’s make-up experts. L’Oréal Paris spokesperson/actress Eva Longoria will host the grand finale broadcast, which will feature an exclusive make-up show, concerts, finalist interviews and more. Finalists will showcase their talents on L’Oréal Paris spokespeople including Doutzen Kroes and Lara Stone, who will wear their creations on the runway. The 2015 L’Oréal Paris Makeup Designer will be announced during the YouTube broadcast.

The Brush Contest is the latest project of the brand’s Makeup Designer Paris platform. “Digital technology now allows us to discover the undiscovered,” said Higuera in a press release. “The Brush Contest will give them a stage to showcase their talents and potentially become the make-up designer for the world’s largest beauty brand and collaborate with us to design new make-up trends and inspire and empower other women around the world through make-up artistry.”
