Have you been waiting for another Paul Roustan show? Then mark your calendars for Feb. 3 when Roustan’s Blast from the Past will be at Resin Gallery in Hermosa Beach, Calif., from 6 to 9 p.m.
For this show, Roustan gets nostalgic for the ’80s, with body art that takes you back in time. The Back to the Future DeLorean will even be onsite for guests to sit in and take pictures with. There will be live body art: one female on roller-skates and a male painted to look like a character from Tron. There will be large format photography, video, installations, live ’80s-style music to add to the nostalgia, along with games like Pac-Man and Galaga, which will be available to play. Get there early and you might even end up with free art (given to the first 100 attendees).
“I want people to feel like they went back in time,” says Roustan. “And I want them to feel how that decade made me feel.”
