The annual 81st Oscar®-Nominated Make-up Artist and Hairstylist Symposium will be held Feb. 21, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. This event celebrates the Achievement in Makeup Oscar® nominations for 2008. The film clips that each make-up artist and hairstylist presented to the Motion Picture Academy during the nomination process will be shown. Nominees will discuss their films and their artistic processes, followed by a question-and-answer period. Afterward, guests are invited to join nominees in the Academy Grand Lobby for a reception.

The free event will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21 in the Samuel Goldwyn Theater, located at 8949 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, California. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. and complimentary parking is available at 8920 and 9025 Wilshire Blvd.
Beginning on Feb. 1, free tickets may be reserved online at www.oscars.org and picked up at the Academy Box Office on the day. There is a four-ticket maximum per person.
