Her innovative approach to makeup has garnered the attention of prestigious brands like Dior, Biore, Codex Beauty, Armani Beauty, Mary Kay, Cover Girl, Nair, Simple Beauty, Milani, Elizabeth Arden, Loreal, Smashbox, Jane Iredale, and many more, leading to impactful collaborations in the world of social media and magazines.

With a stellar career working alongside today’s hottest stars such as Zendaya, Janelle Monae, Rihanna, T araji P. Henson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Alicia Keys, Tessa Thompson, and many others, Ashunta’s artistry has graced the faces of some of the most iconic celebrities in the industry. Her journey began as a male groomer, catapulted by influential figures like P. Diddy and Usher, who entrusted her to groom top male stars like Jay Z, Swizz Beatz, Denzel Washington, and even basketball legend Michael Jordan.

But Ashunta’s impact goes beyond her incredible talent; she’s a dedicated mentor, nurturing the next generation of makeup artists, especially women. Many of her mentees have gone on to serve A-list celebrity clients, a source of immense pride for Ashunta. She serves as the Department Head of “The Best Man,” set to release in December 2022, and her impressive credits include being a Makeup Artist on hit productions like “Empire” (2015-2020), “The Lost City” (2022), and ”Hidden Figures” (2016). Jamie Greenberg has made herself one of Hollywood’s most indispensable makeup artists as a highly sought after beauty personality. Now she’s launched “Neen,” the high-performance, environmen- tally conscious makeup line. A trained professional makeup artist turned beauty business maven, Tisha Thompson, is the Founder and CEO of LYS™ Beauty with more than 20 years’ industry experience in clean beauty product development, brand management, marketing, finance and operations. Unapologetic in her pursuit to diversify the marketplace, Tisha built LYS™ as a landing-place for makeup and skincare solutions that are uniquely catered to various skin types, textures and tones, while addressing common skin concerns, like hyperpigmentation, dark spots and sensitive skin. When she’s not at the baseball field with her two son’s, you can find her testing products in the lab, conceptualizing beautiful packaging or brainstorming strategies to break down the barriers in the beauty industry.
